Iain McNabIain McNab is the former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology at Sheridan College in Canada; he counts among his mentors Nobel Laureates Harold Kroto and John Polanyi. From 1992 until 2002 he was Physics faculty at the Department of hysics, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, where he led the physics teaching laboratories and gained an international reputation for his work in spectroscopy. He has taught a wide range of courses across physics and engineering and has also been involved with educational research, particularly innovative methods such as the flipped classroom and web-based learning systems. Iain is a former Chairperson of the Spectroscopy Group of the Institute of Physics, and is currently a visiting Professor at Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology, China.
