Hossein KaramiHossein Karami received his Ph.D. degree from the Electrical Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), Tehran, Iran, in 2017. His Ph.D. thesis was about the feasibility of simultaneously partial discharge localization and sythetic-aperture radar imaging of power transformer windings using electromagnetic antennas. He was selected by National Elites Foundation as the laureates of Shahid Chmaran Award and a Postdoctoral Researcher with AUT worked on the development and optimization of methods for objective interpretation of frequency response analysis (FRA) test results in power transformers. He has been holding the Assistant Professor position at Niroo Research Institute (NRI) since 2020. He is the author of 4 patents and more than 80 journal and conference papers. His research interests include online monitoring, power transformers, partial discharge, FRA test results interpretation, artificial intelligence, energy management, and optimal scheduling.
