Hong YingHong Ying was born in Chongqing, China, and began her writing career as a poet. In 1990, she relocated to London and authored over a dozen books, some of which have been adapted for television or film. She is best known in the English-speaking world or Daughter of the River, Summer of Betrayal, and K: The Art of Love. Her memoir, Daughter of the River, has been translated into thirty languages, and K: The Art of Love won the Premio Letterario Merck Award in 2005.
