Helen TraubelHELEN FRANCESCA TRAUBEL (June 16, 1899-July 28, 1972) was an American born soprano best known for singing Wagnerian roles such as Isolde and Brünnehilde. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she sang at the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1937 to 1953. Ater her career in opera she also performed in musicals and films.
