Heidi LoveEmerging from violent crime as a child, Heidi Love embarked on a five-year, 12,000 nautical mile odyssey to sail from Maine to French Polynesia. Raging storms and PTSD flashbacks at sea uncovered repressed memories and threatened her life, inspiring er toward greater healing. In order to survive PTSD during storms at sea, she created Knowing Acts, a non fiction, self-help book of therapist-approved exercises, to provide an automatic calming practice when she was afraid. While the exercises themselves are not new, having them in an easy-to-use, art-filled, customizable workbook that offers a stopgap measure for survivors in crisis is unique. Heidi Love is a CSA survivor, author, blogger, creative director, marketing strategist, and a retired cofounder of the digital marketing agencies ETHOS and VONT. Heidi Love earned an MBA and a fully paid Women of Achievement Fellowship from the University of New Hampshire and graduated from the Institute for Civic Leadership. She is a former board member of Maine Women's Fund and a newly-appointed board member of Safe Space Radio. She has raised several million dollars for gender-based charities and social change. Her passion is to help others rise above trauma. (she/her/hers) Read More Read Less
