Heather StokerHeather Stoker was born in Tampa, Florida and lived most of her childhood in Liverpool, N.S, Canada. She began writing as a troubled teen having a poem featured in Pandora's Box in Nova Scotia at the age of 17. She graduated a year later from Liverpol Regional High School in 1981. Upon graduation she moved back to Florida at age 18 to pursue a career in the medical field. In 1983 she became a certified dental assistant before branching off into nursing becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1993. She was a member of National Vocational Technical Honor Society with perfect attendance. She furthered her education in 1996 achieving an Associates in Science Degree for Nursing R.N./HONORS. In her experience as an R.N. she worked on the med surg/oncology at Florida Hospital. Eventually she shifted her career path into Urgent Care Facilities, Vaccine Clinics, and is now currently working at a Skilled Rehab/Long-Term Care Facility specializing in Gerontology. Her Hobbies include gardening, photography, and nurturing animals. She is a mother of two and lives in a spacious lake-front home that gives her the inspiration for her writing. Her mission is to continue writing for those who cannot step forward and speak for themselves on topics relating to abandonment, loss, heartbreak, neglect, and abuse.
