Heather LairdHeather Laird is a lecturer in the School of English, University College Cork. She has published several essays and book chapters on the consequences of, and responses to, colonialism in Ireland, and is the author of Subversive Law in Ireland, 1879Ò1920 and is the author of 'The "Placing" and Politics of Elizabeth Bowen in Contemporary Irish Literary and Cultural Criticism," (2009) and the editor of Daniel Corkery's Cultural Criticism: Selected Writings (2012).
