As a young woman, she struggled for a sense of identity in a world that denied the significance of living a life of virtue and spiritualty. Although she demonstrated academic excellence, it never held compelling significance for her. She could not understand having knowledge void of a higher purpose. Those around her said knowledge was to be used to gain economic security and prestige, but she was never quite convinced. Instead, she found that pursuing the Divine and establishing a personal relationship with The Creator brought her much joy. Her perceptions, views, and ideas set her apart at an early age. As she became older, she grew in understanding.
