Hannah FastHannah grew up in an abusive household and was diagnosed with depression at the age of eighteen. Through much of her adult years she battled this illness; her love of poetry was an outlet for her to write down and express her feelings of pain and angr. She became a born-again Christian in 2014 following a particularly low period in her life and found that her connection with God helped to heal her past and gave her the ability to write poems about God, although she had never written in this genre before.
