Now teaching construction, design and building science at VictoriaUniversity of Wellington in New Zealand, he gained construction experience from over two decades in practice, with 11 years working in architectural practices in London including Colman Architects, Jestico + Whiles and Foster + Partners. Returning to New Zealand in 2000, he worked for seven years at the Studio of Pacific Architecture and was one of the founding directors of First Light Studio in 2012.
