Gregory RoperGregory Roper returned to UD as associate professor of English in 2000 and taught on the Rome Program (2003-5 and 2007-9). He also directed the high school summer Shakespeare in Italy program (2004-17). A published scholar on Chaucer and the Gawain-pet, he is also the author of The Writer's Workshop: Imitating Your Way to Better Writing. In his 1984 UD senior yearbook, he claimed Assisi as his hometown.Andrew Moran, an associate professor of English at UD, was a Fall 1988 Romer, the last semester to be instructed by Jim Fougerousse on where to find the best bars.
