Gregory RoperGregory Roper returned to UD as associate professor of English in 2000 and taught on the Rome Program (2003-5 and 2007-9). He also directed the high school summer Shakespeare in Italy program (2004-17). A published scholar on Chaucer and the Gawain-pet, he is also the author of The Writer's Workshop: Imitating Your Way to Better Writing. In his 1984 UD senior yearbook, he claimed Assisi as his hometown.Andrew Moran, an associate professor of English at UD, was a Fall 1988 Romer, the last semester to be instructed by Jim Fougerousse on where to find the best bars. He taught at Due Santi from 2005 to 2007 and from 2014 to 2016 and is now the director of the summer programs Shakespeare in Italy and Classical Education in Rome.
