Gregory CrewdsonGregory Crewdson is a graduate of SUNY Purchase and the Yale University School of Art, where he is the director of Graduate Studies in Photography. His work has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and internationally. The retrospective Gregory Credson toured Europe from 2005 to 2008, and the survey In a Lonely Place traveled throughout Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in 2013. He was the subject of Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters, a 2012 feature documentary directed by Ben Shapiro that focused on the making of Crewdson's ambitious series Beneath the Roses, which took nearly ten years and a crew of more than one hundred people to produce. Crewdson's awards include the Skowhegan Medal for Photography, National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artists Fellowship, and Aaron Siskind Fellowship. He is represented by Gagosian Gallery.
