Gracie ShieldsGracie was born and raised in Morganton, North Carolina. In middle school, she discovered poetry as a creative outlet, and it allowed her to see the world in new ways. Poetry gave her an outlet to vent about the burdens of day-to-day life that she oberved in her own life, as well as in the lives of the people around her.
