Govind MishraGovind Mishra (born August 1, 1939) is a Hindi novelist with more than 53 books to his credit. After completing M.A. in English from Allahabad University, he joined Indian Revenue Service in 1962 and retired as the Chairman, Central Board of Direct Txes in 1997. He has written 11 novels,14 short story collections, 5 travelogues, 5 literary essay collections, a poetry collection and 2 story books for children. His awards include Vyas Samman in 1998 for "Paanch Anangano Wala Ghar", Sahitya Akademi award in 2008 for "Kohre Mein Kaid Rang", Saraswati Samman in 2013 for "Dhool Paudho Par".
