Glenn Richard StevensI was born in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, back in the year 1965. I'm a twin, and my brother Paul was born 20 minutes later. He was born breached but always was the one who looked out for my best interests! Paul always seemed o excel at whatever he did and I was a little more mechanically inclined, since my older brother, Mike, and Paul would fight to play with my lego inventions. Our family grew up in Cedar where I spent a lot of time either outdoors or working on some kind of invention. I used to like to take apart devices but unfortunately didn't necessarily get them back together exactly without having some missing parts lying around. Mom was a hardworking woman who was like a rock in my life and those of my brothers. She went back to work after my brothers and I were in school so that she would be able to provide for us, since my dad's barbering days were over and he was looking at other work options - he ended up being an alarm installer. I never felt neglected in any way and we all had good memories with visits from family and friends. One favourite memory was when I learned to windsurf with the help of my dad who bought three boards. I caught on quickly since I was tired of my dad giving instructions from his boat nearby! At the age of 21, I ended up in the hospital in Comox, B.C. after having a breakdown from the stress of college life. I was put on medication and have had a pretty rocky life, but thank God I have maintained a sense of humor and love of people. I always looked at the best of people and how creative they can be.
