Glen G GilbertDr. Glen Gilbert is currently Professor and Dean of the College of Health & Human Performance at East Carolina University. He has taught University-level methods and strategies courses for over 15 years and has conducted in-service and consulting prorams throughout the United States. He went on leave from his university post for two years to serve as Director of the School Health Initiative for the U.S. Public Health Service and worked with most states and federal agencies in seeking to plan and achieve the Health Objectives for the Nation. As a former secondary teacher, school teacher, and community health educator he can relate to the real-world needs of health educators. He has authored over 70 professional publications and has taught at East Carolina University, the University of Maryland, Portland State University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and the Ohio State University. He has been a department Chair at three Universities and served as interim Vice Chancellor of Research and Graduate Studies at ECU. He has been a health educator for over thirty years.
