Gerard HindmarshBorn in Wellington 1957, Gerard Hindmarsh trained first as a cartographer before shifting to journalism in 1990. His award-winning work has featured in many publications both in New Zealand and internationally, for many years and also serving as Asia correspondent for New Zealand's National Radio. His previous books include Angelina, Swamp Fever, Kahurangi Calling, Kahurangi Stores, Outsiders, Kahawai-The People's Dish, and Kahurangi Out West.
