Gerald LedlowH. DAN O'HAIR is Professor of Communication at the University of Oklahoma. He has published over 50 research articles in communication, business, management and psychology, and is the immediate past editor of the Journal of Applied Communiction Research. He was recently elected second vice president of the National Communication Association and will assume the office of president in 2006.

ROBERT L. HEATH is Professor of Communication at the University of Houston and Director of the Institute for the Study of Issues Management. He has written extensively on rhetoric, communication theory, public relations, risk communication, and issues management.

GERALD R. LEDLOW is Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Health Administration Program at Central Michigan University and former U.S. Army Medical Logistics Officer in the Medical Service Corps. In the 1990s he directed managed care for Military Health Systems.
