George S J AndersonGeorge S. J. Anderson's career spanned forty-two years as a registered nurse, retiring in late 2016. He was awarded Nurse of the Year in 2000 for Greater Baltimore Medical Center and went on to receive the Outstanding Clinical Nurse award for Distric 2 of the Maryland Nurses Association in the same year. His first award for poetry came in 1974. Since then, he published several poems in multiple poetry collections. He has written for the Chicken Soup series and for the Oncology Nursing Press. He has two published books, which were revised in 2022, Seasons in Cancer and Sunset under the Poet's Tree. Seasons in Cancer received the Audie Award in 2001.
