Gentian RahtzGentian Rahtz BA Hons, M Ed, STAT (Cert)At Hull University I was involved with the thriving poetry and arts scene, supported by the Chief Librarian, Philip Larkin, and I became one of the Hull poets. I completed an M Ed in Art Educaton in 1981 at Manchester University and worked for the Open University for twelve years, teaching a ground-breaking, multi-media course in basic creative processes called 'Art and Environment'. A collection of my poems, 'Sky Burial', was published by The Flux Gallery Press in 2010.I qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in 1990, from the three-year training course at Fellside School in Kendal, UK, directed by Don Burton, and later, also trained as a cranio- sacral therapist. I have taught Alexander in a variety of contexts, including York University music department, for over thirty years, and also attempt to play the shakuhachi, a Japanese bamboo flute.My son, who works as an interpreter, has taken some of the photographs for 'Seeing with Fresh Eyes.'
