She was immediately drawn to the question of how women image God, and founded a quarterly journal in 1992 dedicated to that topic. Canticle Magazine (née hearth) fostered an onging discussion focused in particular on how to combine theological realities with the mundane details of everyday life. Serving as editor until 2004, she continues to write and speak extensively on the topics of authentic femininity, forgiveness, and complementarity between men and women.
