Gene Luke VlahovicGene Luke is of Serbian origin. Born and raised in former Yugoslavia, he acquired the love of literature from reading the European Classics at his early age. At the age of fourteen, his first literary works were published by the hometown magazine, an at the age of nineteen several of his poems were published by the University Press and the Literary Magazine for Young Poets. His book of stories, The Subtle Times, and The Chronicles of the First Serbian Soccer Club in America were published by JR Publishing in 2000/2001, and his first novel Tima Tisler was published by Prosveta Publishing in 2004. All above works were written and published in the Serbo-Croatian language. The Award Winning novel, The Artisan, is author's first novel written in the English language.
