Gayle AmbroseThis is Gayle and Ryan's first story. Cardinal Rule is based on a real life experience. It was written 18 years ago when Ryan was in elementary school and struggling with weight issues. He wanted very much to join the football team, but due to his ag and weight restrictions, he was denied the chance. He immediately self-reflected and suffered with many self-image issues such as, not feeling good enough, not fitting into a mold and not being part of a team. As a Mom, I felt helpless.
