Gautam SenguptaDr. Gautam SenGupta received his Ph. D. at the University of Southampton, where he developed a unique method for predicting the natural frequencies of periodic structures. After joining Boeing, he put his knowledge into practice by modelling a sectio of a fuselage as a periodic structure for prediction of Interior Noise. He combined the periodic structure theory with the finite element method for predicting the structural acoustic characteristics of a fuselage in a cost-effective manner. He retired as a Technical Fellow of the Boeing Company in Seattle, where he was also involved in developing methods for predicting Airframe noise, and transonic flutter characteristics of airplanes. Before joining Boeing, he worked at NASA-Langley as a Research Associate. He served as a Specialist Engineer in Acoustic Fatigue at the Engineering Sciences Data Unit of the Royal Aeronautical Society of England. He received his B. Tech from IIT, Kharagpur, and B. Sc from Presidency College, Calcutta. Read More Read Less
