Gaurav Krishnan

Gaurav KrishnanHaving already released his debut poetry book 'The Indian Night' in early 2022, Mumbai-born musician & writer Gaurav Krishnan is venturing into his second poetic effort with this book, 'Interludes To The Indian Buddha'. An engineer-turned-artist, Gauav is a self-taught musician and writer, whose musical explorations resonate with the cadence of his poetic verses. While working as a writer for several online publications and also sharing reflections on his Medium profile, his work includes over 2000+ articles garnering over 4.5 million reads as a journalist. His body of work in music so far includes over 35+ short film scores and he has also released several EPs and LPs under his artist moniker ""Ghost Intent"" in a myriad and diverse range musical genres. Gaurav gravitated to poetry in his 20s by finding inspiration in the the raw authenticity, perspective & artistry of poetry by Jim Morrison, William Blake, Robert Frost, Charles Bukowski, Adil Jussawalla and beat poet Jack Kerouac, among others. His poetry is written, as he suggests, in his own unique and ""new-age"", spin and style of writing. To Gaurav, the confluence of writing, music, and film transcends mere artistic expression; it touches the very essence of our existence, and as he says, that they are ""art forms that touch people's lives in a way no other fields of work can."" His words, melodies, and creative explorations invite people to explore the boundless nature of the human experience, using the perspective and prism of his art. Read More Read Less
