Gary T FisherChaplain (Colonel) Gary Fisher, U.S. Army, graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Biblical Languages and subsequently completed a Master of Arts in Biblical Exposition. He then attended Bob Jons University, Greenville, South Carolina and graduated with a Master of Divinity (MDiv) in May 1998.
After being commissioned a second lieutenant in the Chaplain Corps in 1994 (as part of the US Army Reserve), Chaplain Fisher was ordained as a minister of the gospel in August 1998. He entered active duty the following year, endorsed by the Foundations Baptist Fellowship International (FBFI). He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn and Operation Resolute Support, receiving military awards and decorations that include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Joint Service Commendation, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Valorous Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Superior Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Combat Action Badge.Chaplain Fisher currently serves as the Command Chaplain, United States Army Pacific Command Fort Shafter, HI.
