For his international, national and community service activities, research achievements and clinical commitments, he was honored as a Member, Order of Australia (AM) in 2010, received a Medal & Certificate of Outstanding Service to Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012 and, in 2014, was presented with a Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) Distinguished Research Award and made Fellow Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.
