Gale A BuchananGale A. Buchanan is the Former USDA Chief Scientist and Undersecretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics. In his early career, he was a teacher and research professor of weed science at Auburn University and ultimately Dean and Diector of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station. He then served at the University of Georgia, where he was appointed as Dean and Director of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
