Gaetano SavatteriGaetano Savatteri (1964, Milan) grew up in Racalmuto, Sicily. In 1980 he co-founded the cultural journal Malgrado Tutto (In Spite of Everything, https: //www.malgradotuttoweb.it/), of which he is still an editor and a contributor. He was a reporter fr the newspapers Giornale di Sicilia and L'indipendente before working as a journalist on Italy's Canale 5 and Rete 4 TV networks. He is the author of several books on mafia culture and history, as well as an array of short stories and novels, and he has written for stage and screen.
