Gabriel MalzaireBishop Gabriel Malzaire was born in St. Lucia, on October 4, 1957. His formal theological education consists of a BA in Theology from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (1984), MA in Theology from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicao (1989), Licentiate and Doctorate in Systematic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome (1996-2000). His work experience included: teaching at the Mon Repos Combined School (1975-1979 and the Regional Seminary, Trinidad 1993-96 and 2000-2002), Assistant Parish Priest at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Soufriere, St. Lucia (1985-1987) and Good Shepherd Parish at Babonneau in St. Lucia (1989-1992), Assistant Director of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre, Parish Priest of St. Lucy's Parish, Micoud, St. Lucia (1992-1993), Administrator of the Diocese of St. John's-Basseterre, Antigua / Leeward Islands & the British Virgin Islands (2007-2012) and Bishop of the Diocese of Roseau from 2002 to the present time.
