Gabi Velascois a policy analyst in the Research to Action Lab at the Urban Institute, where their work focuses on environmental justice and housing justice. Previously, they worked with the sustainability program at the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife, whre they managed solar photovoltaic installations at Texas State Parks and conducted research on equitable greenspace access and sustainable architecture. Velasco received a BA in sustainability studies, a BA in urban political ecology, with a minor in women's and gender studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
