G G SedgewickGarnett Sedgewick (1882 - 1949) was a graduate of Dalhousie and Harvard universities, and the first Head of the Department of English at the University of British Columbia, from 1920 to 1948. He was well-known for his radio talks on all aspects of th humanities, and he played a crucial role in the teaching of the arts across Canada.
