Fredrick D PociaskFredrick D. Pociask completed his PhD in Instructional Technology at Wayne State University in 2004, and his MS and BS in Physical Therapy at Oakland University (1996 and 1990). Dr. Pociask is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OSC) through theAmerican Physical Therapy Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Care Sciences at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Pociask's research interests include instructional technology, design, development and evaluation, with a primary focus on instructional principles for reducing cognitive load in the design of complex instruction, the study of the effectiveness of asynchronous web-based blended learning and course room based research, as well as orthopedic interventions in the management of specific spinal and extremity disorders.
