Frederick MaddenFrederick Madden was professorial fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford, from 1958 to 1984, and held the university post of reader in Commonwealth Government for all but one of the 28 years of its existence. He has now published eight volumes wit Greenwood, covering the constitutional history of the British Empire and the Commonwealth from the 12th century to the end of the 20th century.
