Frederick Josef MoehnFrederick J. Moehn is Lecturer in Music at King's College London, UK and an affiliate of the King's Brazil Institute there. His recent publications include the article "Curating Community at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem" (in the journal i>Jazz Perspectives, 2013) and the book Contemporary Carioca: Technologies of Mixing in a Brazilian Music Scene, (Duke University Press, 2012). He has also published in the journals Ethnomusicology, Latin American Music Review, Journal of the American Musicological Society, Popular Music, and Ethnomusicology Forum, and he contributed to the edited volumes Brazilian Popular Music and Globalization, Wired for Sound: Engineering and Technologies in Sonic Cultures, and Brazilian Popular Music and Citizenship.
