Fred F Poyner IVFRED F. POYNER IV is an art historian and author with a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His professional career in the museum industry has spanned twety-six years and included curatorial roles with the Museum of Northwest Art, Texas Maritime Museum, Washington State Historical Society, and National Nordic Museum. His first book, The First Sculptor of Seattle: The Life and Art of James A. Wehn, received the Association of King County Historical Organization's (AKCHO) Virginia Marie Folkins Award for Outstanding Historical Publication in 2015. He has published several other books on local Northwest art and history, including Seattle Public Sculptors: Twelve Makers of Monuments, Memorials and Statuary, 1909-1962 in 2017.
