Fred Beake

Fred BeakeDespite being raised in the rural West Riding, Fred Beake was born in Cheshire in 1948. Since 2003, he has resided in Torquay. The Poet's Voice and Mammon Press were edited by him. In the 1970s and 1980s, he released a variety of booklets, including he Fisher Queen, Northern House, 1988, which were collected in The Whiteness of Her Becoming (Salzburg UP, 1992). Since then, he has released five books of poetry, including The Old Outlaw (2006), New and Selected Poems (2006), and The Cyclops (Menard Press, 2002). (Shoestring, 2011). Read More Read Less
