François BloemhofFrançois Bloemhof appeared on the South African literary scene in 1991 as the De Kat prize-winner for his debut novel Die nag het net een oog. Koue soen, his second novel, was a finalist in the 1994 Sanlam/De Kat/Kuns op Een novel competition and wasshortlisted for the M-Net prize. He has received four ATKV children's book awards and the Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature, and was a finalist in the 2007 MML literature awards.
