Franklin H LittellFranklin Hamlin Littell (June 20, 1917 - May 23, 2009) was Professor of Church History at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. His Ph.D. was secured at Yale University with a dissertation on The Anabaptist View of the Church. Duing nearly a decade in postwar Germany as a member of the Religious Affairs Staff (U.S.A.) and Director of the Franz Lieber Foundation he was closely related to the movement known as the Kirchentag as well as to the Evangelical Academies, and received the degree of Doctor of Theology honoris causa from the university of Marburg (1957).
