He's the former Vice President of University Advancement at Freed-Hardeman Univerity, President of Columbia Academy, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Memphis. Living in Jackson, Tennessee, he enjoys historic preservation. He has restored 12 historic homes and buildings. served two terms as president of the state's oldest historic organization, the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities.
