Francis FikeBorn in New York State, Francis Fike has also lived in North Carolina and California, settling finally in Michigan in 1968. He has taught in the Departments of English at Stanford, Cornell, and Hope College. Fike has published prose in journals such s Nineteenth Century Fiction, The Hopkins Journal, and Audubon Magazine. His poetry has appeared in The Southern Review, Perspectives, The Formalist, among others. He has published five books, including After the Serpent's Word and In Season and Out.
