FRANCIS A SCHAEFFER

Francis A. Schaeffer (1912-1984) was an American Evangelical Christian theologian, Presbyterian pastor, and philosopher. He wrote more than twenty books on Christianity and culture, which have been translated into a score of languages and sld millions worldwide. He and his wife, Edith, founded L'Abri Fellowship international study and discipleship centers. He received many honorary degrees, including an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in 1983 from the Simon Greenleaf School of Law, Anaheim, California, in recognition of his apologetic writings and ministry.
