Florine Dotson EvansFlorine Dotson Evans is a native of Oklahoma. She is the second of six siblings born to Elder Ammon D. and Sarah Dotson. Her father was a Pentecostal pastor who also worked for the federal government. Her mother was a homemaker full of grace and charty. Growing up, the word of God was her daily bread. After completing business school training, she was employed with the state of Oklahoma in the medical evaluation unit. In 1968, she married Joseph Benjamin Evans, a chemist. Her husband was recruited to Salem, Oregon, and later relocated to Beaverton, Oregon, where they lived a total of thirteen years. Two daughters were born to this union, Catherine and Caroline, and four grandchildren-Steven, Naomi, Nolan, And Natalie. In 1986, she was transferred to Simi Valley, California, where she presently resides. Through the years, Florine has known many heartaches, setbacks, tragedies, layoffs, illnesses, loss of home, and betrayal in legal matters. She has had brief encounters with angels over time that anchored her faith in the reality of a living God who is faithful to his word.
