Florian Klaeger"Franziska A. Bartl studied History and German Studies at Bamberg and received her doctorate at the Institute for European Studies and History at Technische Universitat Chemnitz with a thesis on a protagonist of the attempted coup against the Nazi reime of 20 July, 1944. Since 2023, she has been a research assistant in a project on the Chemnitz student body in the GDR era at TU Chemnitz, and Executive Chair of the Prinz Albert Gesellschaft since 2015. Her research focuses on 19th- and 20th- century history, in particular on National Socialism and the GDR, the history of German-British relations, and European dynastic history with a focus on the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Florian Klaeger is professor of English at the University of Bayreuth. He is the author of a monograph on representations of Anglo-Irish history in Elizabethan England, Forgone Nations (2006), as well as of Reading into the Stars (2018), a study of the cosmopoetics of the contemporary novel. He holds a PhD from the University of Duesseldorf and a Habilitation from the University of Muenster. His research focuses on the functions of literary form for the creation of collective identities, and the entanglements between literature and early modern science. Prof. Dr. Frank-Lothar Kroll has held the professorship of 19th- and 20th-century European history at Technische University Chemnitz since 2000. He is chairman of the scientific advisory board of Bundesstiftung Flucht, Vertreibung, Versohnung and has served on numerous other advisory boards for many years, including those of Institut fur Zeitgeschichte in Munich, Deutsches Historisches Institut in Warsaw, and the Forschungsgemeinschaft 20.
