Flavio MeloFlavio Melo holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). He is currently working toward a DMA. He was selected for the Opera Academy of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, performing oles in operas by Handel, Holst, Purcell and Rescala. He has sung in many important theaters and concert halls and premiered works by Brazilian composers. Recently, he was invited artist and teacher for the Barcelona Festival of Song. His master's research project resulted in the bilingual edition of the "Antologia da Canção Brasileira/ Brazilian Art Song Anthology"published by Mundo Arts Publications, as co-author.
