Fernand CabrolAbbot Cabrol (1855-1937) made his vows as a Benedictine in 1877 at Solesmes, was ordained a priest in 1882, and served as Prior there beginning in 1890. In 1896 he became the first Prior of St. Michael's in Farnborough, England, a daughter house of te Solemses Abbey, and, when the former was raised to an Abbey in 1903, Cabrol became its first Abbot.
