Ezekiel J EmanuelEzekiel J. Emanuel is the author or coauthor of several books, including The Oxford Textbook of Clinical Research Ethics, Brothers Emanuel: A Memoir of an American Family, and Global Justice and Bioethics. He is the Vice Provost for Global Initiative, the Diane S. Levy and Robert M. Levy University Professor, and Chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress. He was the founding chair of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health and held that position until August of 2011.
