Everth SoteloEverth Sotelo was born in January 1992. At an early age, his family settled in Los Angeles, California. He began writing short stories in high school, but at CSU Los Angeles and Dominguez Hills, he studied iconic authors such as Gabriel Garcia Marque, John Steinbeck, and Ernest Hemingway, which inspired his writing career. His short stories have been published in literary magazines and received acclaimed recognition for his deceptively simple style of writing and vivid imagery. His first book, an anthology of erotic poetry, marked the beginning of his career as a writer. But his young adult novel, The Bad Blessings, placed him among the steps of contemporary authors such as Neil Gaiman and Colson Whitehead. He currently teaches English Literature in South Gate, CA.
