Eugenia VaninaEugenia Vanina is currently Chief Researcher, Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. She graduated from Moscow State University and since 1985 has been a staff member of Centre for Indian Studies, Institute of Oriental Studies, Rssian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. Her publications include: Ideas and Society in India from the Sixteenth to the Eighteenth Centuries (1996, 2nd edn., 2004); Urban Crafts and Craftsmen in Medieval India (Thirteenth-Eighteenth Centuries) (2004); Medieval Indian Mindscapes: Space, Time, Society, Man (2012).
