Ethel C PedleyEthel Charlotte Pedley was an English-Australian author and musician who died on August 6, 1898. Ethel Charlotte Pedley was born in Acton, in London, on June 19, 1859. She was the daughter of Frederick Pedley and Eliza Dolby, née Pedley. Pedley beganpiano instruction at the age of five. Pedley moved to Australia with her family in the 1870s, but returned to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music, where she received a medal while studying with her uncle Prosper Sainton, professor of violin.
